RODENT CONTROL

TRBS (TAMPER RESISTANT BAIT STATION)
A Tamper Resistant Bait Station (TRBS) is a lockable container used in rodent control programs. It’s designed to allow rodents to eat poisoned bait while denying access to children and non-target animals like cats and dogs. The bait station is constructed out of sturdy plastic, resistant to destruction or weakening by weather. It’s designed to protect the bait from moisture, dust, and easy damage. The entry point allows target animals access to the bait but not larger animals. TRBS provides a safe and secure place for rodents to consume the bait.
GLUE BOARD
A rodent glue board is a pest control device that consists of a flat cardboard, paper, or plastic board covered in adhesive glue. When a rat or mouse scampers across the board, it becomes immobilized in the adhesive. These glue boards are strongly adhesive, odourless, ready to use, safe, and sanitary. They can be used both indoors and outdoors. However, they should only be used as a last resort due to valid concerns raised about their humane use.
RODENT REPELLENT
A rodent repellent gel is a pest control product that uses natural ingredients, often plant extracts, to deter rodents. The gel releases a strong smell that makes rodents uncomfortable, causing them to avoid the area. Some gels contain hot pepper extract, while others use essential oils like peppermint and cinnamon. The gel is easy to apply and can cover a large area. However, the effectiveness of these gels can vary, and they are often used in conjunction with other pest control methods.
PROOFING
Rodent proofing, also known as rodent exclusion, is a preventive measure to keep rodents like rats and mice out of your home. It involves sealing and blocking off areas where rodents might enter, such as small openings, gaps, and cracks. This can be done by using materials like steel wool or caulk. Regular cleaning and maintenance are also part of rodent proofing to eliminate the ideal environments that allow rodents to survive and reproduce.
